June 22 - day of mourning. This day in 1941 Fascist Germany attacked the USSR. The attack began with air bombardments of the capital of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic - Kyiv.

June 22 this year at the memorial complex of NUBiP of Ukraine was conducted wreath-laying ceremony in which on behalf of the Rector of NUBiP of Ukraine Dmytro Oleksievych Melnychuk took part representatives of the University administration, and the Veterans Council, Student Organization of NUBiP of Ukraine.

Memorial Complex of NUBiP of Ukraine was built in late 70's on the place where the most severe fighting occurred on Defence of the capital from fascist invaders. At the memorial granite slabs of the complex were included names of 157 people - students, teachers, staff, greduates who died and was missing for 1941-1945.

In this way, administration, public organizations and students honored the heroes who died during Great Patriotic War.
