Today, NUBiP of Ukraine has new partners from the United States of America: an agreement of understanding was signed with the non-profit corporation AI for Good Foundation and Afina Cultivian Holdings LLC.

On the Ukrainian side, it was signed by the rector of the University Vadym TKACHUK and the head of the Institute of geopolitics and strategic management, professor of the department of administrative management and foreign economic activity Vitaliy SKOTSYK, on the American side — representatives of the non-profit corporation AI for Good Foundation James HODSON and Afina Cultivian Holdings LLC David GODFREY-THOMAS.

The agreement on mutual understanding provides for cooperation on the creation of the Center for excellence in life sciences, agriculture and biogeniality «CE-LAB». It aims to become the world's leading Center for researchers, scientists, innovators, farmers, entrepreneurs, financiers and educators to develop and implement agro-food technologies and biogeniality necessary for the environment and human health within the financially secure system of Agriculture, bioenergy and bioeconomics.

This center will start a new era of bioeconomics and agricultural innovation, overcoming the challenges of wartime and unlocking the full potential of Ukraine as a world leader in food security and energy self-sufficiency, says rector Vadym TKACHUK. By creating an open, globally connected and resource-rich ecosystem that brings together scientists, farmers and entrepreneurs, we will promote cutting-edge solutions-from innovative soil restoration to precision farming technologies based on artificial intelligence and bioeconomics, while opening up new opportunities for commercialization, investment and export growth.
The center of excellence should become an engine for the revival of Ukrainian agriculture, solving its key problems and opening up new opportunities. We are talking about the restoration and revitalization of land damaged by war, attracting global scientific cooperation, creating a full-fledged scientific and innovation hub, scaling up innovation and entrepreneurship growth, accelerating economic recovery and attracting investment.
This is the second official document on cooperation between NUBiP of Ukraine and American partners: earlier this year, a memorandum was signed with Tetra Tech Inc. (USA), which provides for assistance in the restoration, reclamation and remediation of soils contaminated as a result of military activity in Ukraine using high-tech solutions and competencies of Tetra Tech Inc.
