A GRADUATE STUDENT OF THE DEPARTMENT CARRIED OUT A TWO-MONTH INTERNSHIP AT THE WROCLAW UNIVERSITY OF NATURAL SCIENCES

Yuliya Demyantseva, a graduate student in her last year of study (scientific supervisor - Dr. Malyuk M.O.) spent a two-month internship at the Wroclaw University of Natural Sciences at the Department of Surgery under the scholarship program of Professor Tolpa.

During her internship, the graduate student had a unique opportunity to familiarize herself with the work of the small animal surgery clinic, visit various departments, familiarize herself with the work of the stem cell cultivation laboratory, and attend practical and lecture classes at various departments of the faculty. She mastered the methods of diagnosing joint diseases in dogs and the use of the latest methods of their treatment, namely: the use of mesenchymal stem cells, platelet-rich plasma, orthokine therapy. I got acquainted with the methods of selection and cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells.

Experience was gained during the internship period, which will be used in the future at the Department of Surgery and Pathophysiology named after Acad. I.O. Povazhenka at the Center for Cellular Technologies in Veterinary Medicine.
