Laboratories & facilities

The Department of Processes and Equipment of Agricultural Production Processing has established two laboratories: "Agricultural Product Processing Technologies and Equipment" teaching laboratory and the teaching and research laboratory for automated design systems and computer modelling of technological processes in processing and food production.

"Agricultural Product Processing Processes and Equipment" teaching laboratory is housed in three lecture theatres and is divided, depending on the type of equipment contained therein, into:

  • Machinery and equipment for milk processing.

  • Machinery and equipment for grinding.

  • Machinery and equipment for the processing of cereals, meat and fish.

The educational and research laboratory for automated design systems and computer modelling of technological processes in processing and food production plays a key role in the training of higher education students in the specialisations ‘Food Technology’ and ‘Public Health’, as it is here that students master modern tools for engineering analysis, digital design and mathematical modelling. It hosts laboratory and practical sessions in the following subjects: ‘Design of Industry Enterprises’, ‘Mathematical Modelling’, ‘Processes and Equipment in Food Production’, and ‘Fundamentals of Biotechnology Production Design’.

The department’s laboratories feature informative, modern posters illustrating the structure of machines and mechanisms, their technical specifications, various production processes and production lines.

The refurbished laboratories provide a comfortable environment for educational and research activities, helping to improve the quality of specialist training and boost scientific research in the field of food production.
