DNA profiling
Genotyping of varieties, lines, and hybrids of agricultural plants is an important element of modern breeding and seed production. The availability of a DNA passport greatly facilitates the protection of copyrights for private varieties. The introduction of molecular methods of applied biotechnology, along with existing methods of identifying new plant varieties, makes it possible to significantly increase the reliability of results and reduce the time required for genetic analysis based on a minimum amount of isolated DNA.

The laboratory has developed a method for genotyping varieties of hops, garden strawberries, and raspberries. The proposed option for recording the molecular genetic passport of plant genotypes using binary formulas allows for reliable identification of differences in the DNA structure of different varieties, lines, and hybrids.
