The educational and research laboratory of bioeconomics and the student research group focus on The European Bioeconomy University Scientific Forum 2021 and the United Nation Food System Summit 2021

   Professor of the Department of Economic Theory and Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Bioeconomics, Faculty of Agrarian Management Mykola Talavyria and Associate Professor Olena Koval took part in the European Bioeconomy University (EBU) Scientific Forum 2021 and the United Nation Food System Summit 2021. The People’s Plenary – Accelerating Action for the Future We Want. Students of the research group “Macroeconomic aspects of the economic growth in Ukraine” Melnyk Tetiana, Vershuta Yuliia, Kamynina Oleksandra, Koval Ivan, Fefelova Anastasiia, Kolomiiets Olha, Yastrebinska Mariia, Koval Oleksandr, Misan Yurii also actively participated in the international events, which held on 22 and 23 September 2021.
   Plenary session I: EBU research and education projects was organized by the leaders of bioeconomy development in European Union AgroParisTech, University of Bologna, University of Eastern Finland, University of Hohenheim, the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Wageningen University & Research. Parellel session I Bioeconomy – related business models and sustainable entrepreneurship investigated production process from biomass to biobased products. Parallel session II researched educate system changes: Bioeconomy qualification programs and networks on Bioeconomy education. The workshops focused on the development of bioeconomy strategies on an innovative basis and the creation of alternative chains of biological products on the principles of sustainable development and in accordance with the EU Green Deal.

   United Nation Food System Summit 2021. “The People’s Plenary - Accelerating Action for the Future We Want” had a preparatory period of 18 months, when hundreds of thousands of people around the world took part in the Food Systems Summit preparation. The plenary session presented the main results of these efforts and provided a platform for heads of state and government, who are deeply involved in the process of food systems transformation in order to achieve sustainable development by 2030.
