Delegation from the United States of America arrived in NUBiP

The delegation from the United States of America arrived at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine on a three-day visit today.

Guests — representatives of the non-profit corporation AI for Good Foundation James HODSON and Afina Cultivian Holdings LLC of David GODFREY-THOMAS were met by the rector of the University Vadym TKACHUK and our ambassador, head of the Institute of geopolitics and strategic management, professor of the department of administrative management and foreign economic activity Vitaliy SKOTSYK. The head of the University presented the activities of NUBiP of Ukraine and the areas of its priority research.

The next two days provide for the guests to get acquainted with the educational and scientific base of the faculties of animal husbandry and aquatic bioresources, agrobiology, plant protection, biotechnology and ecology, information technologies, veterinary medicine, NUBiP Botanical Garden, Ukrainian laboratory of quality and safety of agricultural products, Ukrainian Research Institute of agricultural radiology, Boyarska forest research station.

The visit would culminate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which provides for the intention to cooperate on the creation of the Center for excellence in life sciences, agriculture and biogeniality «CE-LAB». This center aims at becoming the world's leading Center for researchers, scientists, innovators, farmers, entrepreneurs, financiers and educators to develop and implement agro-food technologies and biogeniality necessary for the environment and human health within the financially secure system of agriculture, bioenergy and bioeconomics.
