An educational program that shapes leaders!
A first-year student of the educational program “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” in the specialty H2 “Animal Husbandry” of the educational degree “Master” of the leading faculty of animal husbandry and aquatic bioresources of the renowned National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, Dem SORAK demonstrated a high level of professional training and scientific maturity by joining the implementation of the state scientific project “Scientific and practical support for the safety of protein nutrition of farm animals in conditions of martial law and the post-war period” of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (state registration No. 0124U000924, 2024-2026) under the guidance of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Animal Nutrition and Feed Technologies named after P. D. Pshenychny – Mykhailo SYCHOV.

Within this topic, the student conducted thorough research aimed at optimizing protein nutrition for pigs, analyzing modern sources of protein, assessing the digestibility of amino acids, and implementing environmentally friendly solutions in livestock production.
The results obtained not only expanded scientific understanding of protein nutrition mechanisms, but also became an important component of practical training for higher education seekers in accordance with the goals and competencies of the educational program focused on developing students' ability to work with innovative feed technologies, implement sustainable animal husbandry methods, analyze feed quality, manage production processes, and make scientifically sound decisions in the field of animal nutrition and biotechnology. Participation in real state research provides practical experience that cannot be replicated in a classroom setting, and also develops key competencies required by the program: scientific research, analytical, project, and innovative.
The results of the work were successfully tested at the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Science, Education, Economics, and Society: Interdisciplinary Dialogue in the Context of Globalization,” held on November 15, 2025, in Stanford (USA).Demian Siorak, under the scientific supervision of Mykhailo Sychov, presented his thesis in English, demonstrating an appropriate level of academic mobility and international communication competence, and his scientific report was included in the official collection of conference materials. As a result of his participation, the student received a certificate confirming 24 academic hours (0.8 ECTS), which is an important component in the formation of an individual educational trajectory in accordance with the requirements of the EP.
The achievements of Demian Siorak prove that the educational program “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” not only provides a strong theoretical foundation, but also creates conditions for students to pursue their own scientific interests in collaboration with leading university scientists. Involving master's students in state-funded research topics contributes to the formation of their research culture, the development of critical thinking, the ability to work with English-language sources, and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global academic space.
The department staff sincerely congratulates Demian SORAK on his significant scientific experience, which has already become part of his professional growth in his first year of study, and expresses gratitude to Professor Mykhailo SYCHOV for his high level of scientific guidance. The applicant's achievements are a vivid confirmation that the educational program “Technology of Production and Processing of Livestock Products” trains a new generation of specialists: competent, motivated, and competitive in the national and international labor markets.
