History of the Department of Management and Educational Technologies
In 1994, the Department of Teaching Methods was established at the university's Faculty of Education, serving as a leading center for the professional development of teaching and research staff at agricultural educational institutions, providing them with methodological training. Its first head was Professor P.M. Oliinyk. Over the years, the department has been headed by: Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, V.K. Sydorenko; Associate Professor, O.S. Snisarenko; and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor T.D. Ishchenko, and Doctors of Pedagogical Sciences, Professors I.V. Zaychenko, M.A. Prygodiy, and V.I. Kovalchuk. Since July 2018, the department has been headed by Professor Serhii KUBITSKYI, a Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.
During the department's existence, its staff has included professors V.K. Sydorenko, V.I. Kovalchuk, O.I. Shcherbak, M.V. Mikhailichenko, and N.S. Zhuravska, N.T. Tverezovska, V.I. Zaychenko, M.A. Prygodii, T.D. Ishchenko, associate professors O.S. Snisarenko, M.P. Khomenko, P.M. Reshetnik, O.M. Nahorniuk, V.A. Yakovleva, O.P. Vytrykhovska.
The primary objectives and tasks of the department are to equip students with knowledge of the theory and methodology of professional training, teaching methods for professional and practical training disciplines, management techniques, human resource management, and educational activities in educational institutions.
In 2005, a master's degree program in Higher Education Pedagogy was developed, based on the foundational education of a specialist, which enables students to obtain the qualification of “higher education teacher.”

In 2010, the Faculty of Education launched a program in Educational Institution Management (now known as the educational, professional, and scientific program “Educational Institution Management” in the specialty D3 “Management”), in response to the growing need for highly qualified management personnel in agricultural higher education institutions.

In 2019, with the support of Vasyl SHYNKARUK, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Pedagogy, the department initiated and launched an educational program in “Personnel Management” for master's degree students. In October 2020, the program was successfully accredited, and in December of the same year, the first master's in personnel management students received diplomas from our university.

At the present stage of development, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department conduct scientific research aimed at improving methodological training and preparing teachers for managerial activities in educational institutions in Ukraine, in particular: theoretical and methodological aspects of managing the educational process in research-type universities; theoretical foundations for improving the methodological training of teachers at agricultural educational institutions in research-type universities. At the same time, the academic and professional program “Personnel Management” is being developed for the training of master's degree students.

During the department's existence, its scientific and pedagogical staff have published more than 60 monographs, textbooks, and teaching aids, over 270 educational and methodological works, and approximately 450 scientific articles. They have also trained more than 10 candidates in the sciences, including one doctor of philosophy and one doctor of science.
The department cooperates with many higher educational institutions in Ukraine.
