Workshop: “Introduction to Health Diplomacy: Building a Healthier and Safer Region in Times of Conflict and Uncertainty”

We are pleased to invite you to the seminar “Introduction to Health Diplomacy: Building a Healthier and Safer Region in Times of Conflict and Uncertainty,” which will take place on April 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Kyiv time, with the option to join online.

The seminar is organized as part of the international Health Bridge project, implemented in collaboration between the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden), Bogomolets National Medical University, the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, and the University of Latvia. The project is funded by the Swedish Institute and aims to establish a Baltic-Eastern European health diplomacy network under Ukraine’s leadership.

The project’s goal is to promote a healthier and safer region by strengthening international cooperation, developing professional networks, and integrating the experiences of countries in the Baltic region and Eastern Europe.

During the seminar, experts in health diplomacy will present foundational approaches to this field and discuss its significance in the current geopolitical context, particularly in the face of war, instability, and the transformation of health care systems.

The keynote speaker for the seminar will be Anders Nordström—a senior advisor on international health policy and diplomacy and a global health expert with experience working in international organizations and government agencies.

The seminar will be conducted in English in a hybrid format (in-person and online).

A detailed agenda and the Zoom link will be sent to registered participants’ email addresses the day before the event.
