Dmytro V. LITVINOV
Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor
Research interests: soil fertility management, soil biological activity; theoretical justification and development of agrobiological principles for enhancing the effectiveness of intensification measures in shaping soil fertility (water regime, physico-chemical and agrochemical properties, biological activity), and optimising the biological cycling of nutrients and organic matter in agrocenoses.Postgraduate students and their research activities
Oleksandr KUDRIA
Research topic: ‘Yield of table potatoes under fertigation with phosphorus and potassium fertilisers’
Research focus: determining the effect of varying levels of fertigation with phosphorus and potassium fertilisers on the yield of table potatoes, tuber biometrics and quality indicators, and the optimal combination of fertiliser application with irrigation water and traditional methods
Supervisor: Academician, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences A. V. Bykin
Oleg BARANOVSKY
Title of the research paper: ‘Agrochemical management of the fertility of dark grey podzolic soil through the management of plant residues and green manure’
Research focus: The research aims to develop innovative approaches to agrochemical soil management. Rational management of soil fertility is driven by the need to improve the efficiency of agricultural resource use in modern agriculture. An effective method is the introduction of green manure and plant residue management technologies, which help to increase the organic matter content of the soil, improve its physico-chemical properties and boost crop productivity.
Research supervisor: Prof. D. V. Litvinov, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences
Mykhailo SNITSARUK
Research topic: ‘Potato yield under optimised potassium and magnesium fertilisation in drip irrigation systems’
Research focus: determining the optimal ratio of potassium and magnesium fertilisers in potato cultivation using fertigation, as well as studying the effect of different ratios of these two nutrients on potato yield, yield composition and tuber quality.
Supervisor: Academician, Professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences A. V. Bykin
