The Department of Social Work and Psychology has had its current name since 2006.
Educational activities
The Department of Social Work and Psychology provides courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students of full-time, extra mural and distance forms of study.

Research and innovation activities
The Department of Social Work and Psychology is actively involved in research carried out at the Institute of Natural Sciences and the Humanities. The current area of research is “Psychological and pedagogical aspects of the formation of specialists in Agriculture”.
The strategic priority for the department is quality of education, improvements and innovations in teaching to meet requirements of the Bologna process. The department effectively applies the module-rating system of student performance and cutting-edge technologies aimed at development and enhancement of their skills. A supportive environment is cultivated to provide rigorous training.
The highly skilled teaching staff work closely with students to help them take advantage of the achievements and teaching experience of the Department in ways that suit students’ interests and talents.
