Liliia Kalachniuk received higher education in Biochemistry. During studying at the Faculty of Biology of Ivan Franko Lviv State University, her diploma work was awarded the Diploma of the first degree at the interuniversity competition of diploma works of the USSR (1983-1984). In 1989, at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, she defended her candidate (Ph.D.) thesis «Structure of tRNASer1 from bovine liver and its interaction with aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases» (in the specialty 03.00.03 - Molecular Biology). In 2009, at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, she defended her doctoral dissertation «Molecular aspects of exogenous regulation of metabolism in cells of microorganisms-symbionts and host animal» (in the specialty 03.00.04 - Biochemistry); in 2013, she received the academic title of associate professor. Liliia Kalachniuk became a laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology for a series of scientific papers «Mechanisms of the functioning of the digestive system» in 2012. In 2014, she was elected the Academician of Higher Education Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (now the National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine).
Since 2016, Liliia Kalachniuk has been acting as the head of the RCP «Climate action, resource efficiency, and raw materials» and since 2017 - the head of the NCP «Food Security, Sustainable Agriculture, Marine and Maritime Research and the Bio-Economy & Biotechnology» of the Work Program «Horizon 2020» based on NULES of Ukraine. In 2017-2019, she was an active participant in the international project «BioHorizon» (R&I project № 652637 of the Horizon 2020 program). 2017 - 2020, she has been appointed Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Animal Health for Information and Innovation work. In 2017-2018, she was a fellow grantee of the project «Innovative University and Leadership. Phase III: Innovation and Relations with the Environment» (Warsaw's - Jagiellonian Universities, Republic of Poland) and author of the micro-project «Information base for the «Center of Excellence» as a model for building a dynamic structure of relations with main stakeholders in Ukrainian higher education».
The main scientific results of prof. Liliia Kalachniuk was obtained in the following areas: elucidation of the role of its individual participants, including RsgA-protein, in the processes of translation and trans-translation on the model of functioning of the ribosomal apparatus of the Escherichia coli cell; study of the role of extracellular redox potential (Eh) in the metabolism of populations of symbiont microorganisms and their individual species for possible use in the regulation of nutrient uptake; molecular biochemical studies of exogenous regulation of metabolism in cells of symbiont microorganisms and host animals involved in digestive processes; detection of the existence of additional enzymatic reactions on the ways of assimilation of carbon and ammonium nitrogen by rumen microorganisms and the possibility of their correction by exogenous factors; research of possibilities of regulation of metabolic processes in the digestive tract by hexosans and sorbents; research to solve the problem of feed protein deficiency in animal husbandry through the use of rapeseed feed additives; study of the inhibitory effect of pentachlorophenol on biochemical processes in the cells of microorganisms-symbionts of the digestive tract of animals against the background of various factors and the possibility of effective use of existing intracellular metabolic pathways and ways to reduce the toxicity of biocides in the body; study of changes in the structural and functional state of calf liver cells in dyspepsia and search for effective ways to correct them; study of the influence of exogenous factors on metabolic processes in animals under conditions of pathological disorders of the liver, kidneys, etc.
In the department, since 2010, L. Kalachniuk teaches students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine disciplines «Biochemistry of animals with the basics of physical and colloid chemistry» (in Ukrainian and English) and «Special biochemistry», and postgraduate students of PhD-program of Biology – «Research methods and organization of dissertation work preparation», «New tendencies in biological research of bioresources (scientific seminars)», «Molecular mechanisms of metabolism regulation», «Physic-chemical methods of biochemical research», «Blood biochemistry», «The latest methods in biological research».
Liliia Kalachniuk is a guarantor of the «Biology (091)» educational and scientific program (PhD-program) at NULES of Ukraine and head of research projects (research work under the contract №110/15-pr-2020 «Development of ways and means of regulation of metabolism in an organism of animals at actions of factors of different nature», State Registration number 0120U102130, 2020-2022; initiative research topic «Mechanisms of regulation of protein metabolic processes in animals under the action of endogenous and exogenous factors», State Registration number 0116U001883, 2016-2020)», and is a participant in the international project «Student’s eating habits and susceptibility to stress during social isolation caused by COVID-19» (from May 2020) and was the executor of national projects «Study of molecular mechanisms of regulation of metabolic processes and productive functions of animals», state registration number 0117U001252, 2017-2019, «Scientific substantiation and creation of medicines based on Ferrum (IV) for veterinary medicine» state registration number 0119U100817, 2019-2021; «Development of a system for supervision rabies of animals by Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Innovative Biosensors Test (SPR)» state registration number 0119U100820, 2019-2021).
Prof. Liliia Kalachniuk is a member of the Specialized Academic Council for the Defense of Doctoral Dissertations, the Editorial Board of the Journal of Animal Biology, the Biochemical Society, the Shevchenko Scientific Society, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Author of more than 250 scientific and educational works.
Under her scientific guidance, the dissertation "Changes in the activity of marker enzymes in the blood and organs of animals under the action of exogenous factors" (for obtaining a degree of candidate sciences in the specialty 03.00.04 - Biochemistry) has been successfully defended by I. Basarab and 6 master's theses. Currently, under her supervising and advising, postgraduate and doctoral students are training in the specialty "Biology" (direction "Biochemistry").
She is also a supervisor of scientific student group «Study of molecular biological mechanisms of metabolism regulation with in-depth studying English biochemical terminology» (since 2011), the successful operation of which is the victory at the «Festival of Student Science – 2014» in NULES of Ukraine and the Diploma of the I degree and 60 publications with the participation of students, whose works at international forums were awarded 13 Diplomas of the I degree (3), II degree (6), III degree (4), 7 Diplomas for the best report (6) and for active participation (1) and the Certificate «Inventor's Day».

Valerii Tsvilikhovskyi was born on January 28, 1973. In 1996 he graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the National Agrarian University (now the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine). He specializes in veterinary medicine.
In 2001, he graduated from the postgraduate department at the National Agrarian University and defended his PhD thesis on “Features of the lipid composition of plasma membranes of small intestinal enterocytes of the speckled gopher in states of active life and hibernation” in the specialty 03.00.04 - biochemistry.
The main scientific results of Associate Professor Valerii Tsvilikhovsky were obtained in the following areas: study of lipid composition and lipid/protein ratio of plasma membranes of small intestine enterocytes, liver, kidney, brain, heart and muscles of speckled gopher in states of active life, awakening and hibernation (hypobiosis); study of lipid composition in liver, brain, white rat tissues under conditions of artificial hypobiosis; methodological developments for the determination of pesticide and mycotoxin residues in feed and food raw materials; monitoring studies of pesticide and mycotoxin residues in feed, food raw materials, water, and soil; study of the lipid spectrum of blood and quail organ tissues under the background content of ochratoxin A in feed.
V.I. Tsvilikhovsky has been working at the Department of Animal Biochemistry and Physiology named after Academician M.F. Gulyi of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine since 2001 in the following positions: junior researcher 2001-2003; assistant 2003-2006; associate professor since 2006. In 2008, he was promoted to Associate Professor in the specialty 03.00.04 - Biochemistry.
A separate line of V.I. Tsvilikhovsky's career was his work at the Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, where he worked in 2001-2006 as a junior, research and senior researcher, and from 2006-2015 - as head of the research department of chromatographic and spectral analysis.
From 2004 to 2009, V.I. Tsvilikhovsky was the responsible head of the scientific state themes: “Monitoring of contamination of agricultural products and development of proposals for improving the standardization of safety indicators for livestock products” (2004-2006); ‘Development and implementation of an express system for quality control and safety of agricultural products in accordance with EU standards’ (2007-2009).
From 2010 to 2014, V.I. Tsvilikhovsky was a scientific supervisor of scientific state topics: “Determination of critical points in the technology of manufacturing and storage of animal feed by quality and safety indicators” (2010-2012); ‘Monitoring of the trace element composition of Ukrainian soils and substantiation of fertilizer systems for the formation of biologically complete agricultural products’ (2012-2014).
In 2007, V.I. Tsvilikhovsky, together with other university staff, took part in a technical cooperation project to improve practical scientific education at the Ukrainian Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products of the National Agrarian University. The project was implemented jointly with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Tokyo Agricultural University. During his 2-month stay in Japan, Mr. Tsvilikhovsky improved his skills in the field of agricultural and feed safety. The new knowledge allowed him to more progressively implement foreign methods in the quality control and safety of agricultural products in Ukraine and to gain international recognition for the Ukrainian Laboratory and Safety of Agricultural Products.
Since 2016, V.I. Tsvilikhovsky has been the head of the interdepartmental educational and scientific laboratory of veterinary diagnostic research, where he organized the educational and scientific work of masters and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
In 2017, the master's program in Laboratory Science was canceled. V.I. Tsvilikhovsky organizes an interdepartmental group of teachers to create a master's program “Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics”, which in 2018 is successfully supported by the Academic Council of the University and is introduced into the initial process of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to train specialists in veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
Tsvilikhovsky V.I. teaches such disciplines as “Veterinary Clinical Biochemistry”, “Animal Biochemistry with the basics of physical and colloidal chemistry” - for the Bachelor's degree; “Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics”, “Laboratory Quality Management” - for the Master's degree; “Research Methods and Organization of Dissertation Preparation”, ‘Molecular Mechanisms of Metabolic Regulation’, ‘Methods of Biochemical Research’ and ‘Veterinary Biochemistry’ - for the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education in the specialty 091 ‘Biology’ and 211 ‘Veterinary Medicine’. He is the author of more than 100 scientific works, including 101 scientific directions, 7 harmonized National Standards, 70 educational and methodological works, 8 textbooks and 3 monographs.
Research area: study of antioxidant protection and lipid metabolism in animals under the influence of natural and artificial factors.

Liudmyla Stepanenko was born on September 11, 1950 in Kyiv. After graduating from secondary school No. 85 in 1967, she studied at the Ukrainian Agricultural Academy, graduating in 1972 with a degree in veterinary medicine. From 1972 to 1974, she worked as the chief veterinarian at the Hlyboke collective farm in Boryspil district, Kyiv region. From 1974 to 1976, she worked as a department head at military unit No. 42278 of the Kyiv Military District.
Since 1976 he has been working at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. From 1978 to 2002, she worked at the Department of Pathological Anatomy and Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise as a senior laboratory assistant. During her work at the department, she was a co-author of about 10 printed scientific and methodological works. She acted as the secretary of the State Examination Commission. She defended her master's thesis.
Since 2002, she has been working as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Biochemistry named after Academician M.F. Hulyi.
During her work at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, she was awarded a large number of certificates and letters of appreciation.

Victoria Prys-Kadenko was born on May 26, 1988 in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region. She studied at Vasylkiv Secondary School No. 4 from 1994 to 2005, graduating with honors (silver medal). In 2005, she entered the National Agrarian University and graduated with honors in 2011 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine and a qualification as a doctor of veterinary medicine.
From October 2014 to the present, she has been a leading engineer and senior laboratory assistant at the Hulo Department of Animal Biochemistry, Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products (now the Hulo Department of Animal Biochemistry and Physiology.
Since September 2016, he has been combining the work of a senior laboratory assistant with postgraduate studies in Biology, specializing in Biochemistry.
