The Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomics, Department of Economic Theory, Faculty of Agrarian Management, National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine continue to prepare for the celebration of the European Bee Award 2024, on the protection of European bees and biodiversity. The ELO team with which our laboratory cooperates will hold the award ceremony at the European Parliament, Brussels, in the ASP 00 G MEP Salon.
Since its inception in 2014, the European Bee Award has been a prominent platform that celebrates innovative projects aimed at the conservation of pollinators across Europe. This award, established by the European Landowners’ Organisation (ELO) in partnership with the European Agricultural Machinery Industry Association (CEMA), celebrates forward-looking, effective and scalable approaches to biodiversity conservation. As we face growing environmental challenges, this initiative highlights the critical importance of pollinators in maintaining ecosystem health and promoting sustainable agriculture.
This year’s European Bee Award ceremony, hosted by MEP Paulo do Nascimento Cabral at the European Parliament, will reward exceptional projects in three main categories
Land management practices – a €4,000 prize for initiatives that implement sustainable and effective land management practices that directly benefit pollinators and biodiversity.
Innovative Technological Solutions – another prize of 4000 euros for visionary technological achievements aimed at protecting and supporting pollinator populations.
Special Jury Mention – an honorary diploma recognizing outstanding contributions to pollinator protection, reflecting the jury’s high assessment of the potential impact of the project.
Networking, Innovation and Community: An Evening of Engagement. The Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomy will join us for an evening of cocktails, networking and a chance to be inspired by exquisite projects to protect biodiversity. This event provides a great opportunity to network with professionals dedicated to environmental sustainability, so join us in exchanging ideas and collaborating to advance ecological practices.
The Educational and Scientific Laboratory of Economic Theory and Bioeconomy, Department of Economic Theory, Faculty of Agrarian Management, National University of Life Resources and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine would like to express their great gratitude to the European Bee Award 2024, organized by ELO and CEMA.
