– Please introduce yourself and tell us about yourself.
– My name is Kateryna Vitalievna Melekhova. I study at Lyceum №14 in Pryluky. Pryluky (Chernihiv region). I am the president of the lyceum and the head of the student government. Since childhood, I have felt compassion for stray animals and those in need of treatment. I have always been attracted to the opportunity to work with different types of animals, to help and solve problems with their treatment. My favorite moments were related to animals: they were my favorite pets, who always brought joy and a sense of warmth to my life.
Later, watching a veterinarian treat and help animals, I felt that this is what I want to do in life.
– What are your expectations from studying at the university?
– “My expectations from studying at the university are high and ambitious. I believe that this university, specifically the Faculty, will provide me with exceptional opportunities to gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of veterinary medicine. First of all, I hope for a high-quality and affordable education that will allow me to become a highly qualified specialist in this field. I expect that the teachers will be not only experienced professionals, but also interested mentors who will be able to inspire and support my professional development. In addition, I hope for the support of the university community and opportunities for active participation in student life. I believe that communicating with like-minded people and participating in various activities will help me not only develop my professional skills but also enrich my personal life. In general, I believe that studying at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will be an unforgettable and important part of my life, which will open up many opportunities for me in my future career.
– Why did you choose this specialty?
– I chose this specialty because of my deep compassion and concern for animals. Since childhood, I have dreamed of helping and protecting the silent friends who have become a part of my life. Veterinary medicine will allow me to combine my love for animals with scientific knowledge to help them and keep them healthy. This profession gives me the opportunity not only to treat but also to prevent diseases, which makes it extremely meaningful. I believe that every animal deserves respect, care, and professional treatment, and I am ready to devote my life to this noble task.
– How do you spend your free time?
– I spend my free time in a variety of ways. It can be reading books, watching movies or TV shows, walking in the fresh air. Now my main occupation is studying at the lyceum and it takes almost all my time. I also try to take a very active part in school life.
– Do you already have any plans after graduation?
– Of course, yes, since childhood I have dreamed of becoming the best specialist in this field. To gain more experience, and then open my own veterinary clinic and treat stray animals as well.
– Why did you choose NUBIP of Ukraine?
– Because NUBIP of Ukraine is one of the top 10 best universities in Ukraine, it has a faculty of veterinary medicine and has graduated many good specialists in the field of veterinary medicine. This was the reason to choose NULES as a higher education institution in the future.I think that my dream will come true and I will study at this faculty.
