Guest lecture by professor Cyril Aslanov of the University of Aix-Marseille to students of the specialty "Journalism"
Department of journalism and language communication of NULES of Ukraine continues the tradition of conducting guest lectures. Such an online meeting for students of specialty "Journalism" became a guest lecture "The Interest for Ukraine in Twentieth-Century French Literature", which was read for NULES students by Cyril Aslanov - doctor of linguistic sciences, professor of the University of Aix-Marseille (France).
On September 08, 2023 , higher education applicants and teachers of specialty "Journalism"of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy had a small opportunity to listen to a guest lecture by the professor Cyril Aslanov, who shared his thoughts on Ukraine's interest in French literature of the ХХ century.
The event participants were congratulated by Maryna Navalna - head of the department of journalism and language communication, who introduced the guest to the participants of the meeting and presented the range of his scientific interests: languages and their contacts, historical linguistics, comparative linguistics, translation history and poetics.
Cyril Aslanov is a well-known scientist in the scientific world - doctor of linguistic sciences, chairman of the International Center for university teaching of Jewish civilization, member of the Academy of the Jewish language (Jerusalem, Israel); professor at the University of Aix-Marseille (France).
The participants of the meeting were surprised by the depth of the philosophical analysis of the twentieth century era, and the literary parallels that the lecturer made between French and Ukrainian literature, and the analysis of images of poetry, and the accuracy of observations of the present, and so on. During the guest online meeting, the lecturer encouraged students to discuss and discuss in the context of Ukrainian-French literary parallels: the participants of the meeting became not only listeners of the lecture, but also active participants. At the end of the meeting, everyone had the opportunity to put questions to the professor. It is important that the lecture was delivered in English, which did not interfere with fruitful communication.
After listening to a meaningful and interesting lecture, students not only took out a number of important cases that they can apply in their future profession, but also had the opportunity to think about the present: what happens to people, how we change, and what awaits us in the future? It should be noted that this is not the first guest lecture organized for representatives of our educational institution. The advantage of such events is that this type of activity contributes to the establishment of cooperation between educational institutions and communication of scientists. The activity of applicants for higher education, their interest in such meetings motivates the staff of the department of journalism and language communication to continue the practice of holding such events in the future.
Thank you very much Cyril Aslanov for cooperation, for the lecture that was generously presented to students and teachers of NULES of Ukraine, for updating important issues of our time - it is time to understand the values of being. We hope for cooperation and expansion of friendly contacts between the two higher education institutions - NULES of Ukraine and the University of Marseille.
We are working to win!!! Everything will be Ukraine !!!
