Coordination Council of the “German-Ukrainian agro-political dialogue” project approved the report for the last year and discussed the action plan for 2016
On March 2, 2016, Embassy of Germany in Kyiv hosted a regular meeting of the Coordination Council of the “German-Ukrainian agro-political dialogue” project. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Rutytska V., from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Kytsenko V., from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ivchenko V., representatives of agricultural education and science, agribusiness, Association of Farmers and Landowners of Ukraine and others. The German side was represented by Mr. Antje Frese, Department of Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Germany, Stefan Hershevskyi, Referent for Agriculture and Food of the German Embassy in Warsaw, project leaders Sasse F., Kristof Gilgen, Director of IAMO institute, Alfons Balman and other project partners. The meeting heard the report of project manager Dr. Volker Sasse and discussed a plan of action for 2016 in detail.

Our university is actively involved in the activities carried out under the project. Thus, last year 9 members of the university took part in specialized trips to Germany organized and conducted by the project, in particular, on issues of education and science, legislative support of agrarian reforms, quality and safety of food, etc. Also, as part of the project, a series of events were held on the territory of the university. These are the lectures-presentations of Prof. Haunhorst on quality and safety of agricultural products, a workshop on German experience in taxation and support of agricultural producers, round table on activity of agricultural chambers and cooperation development, presentation of agricultural advisory services in Germany, etc.
In addition, under the project, the university establishes contacts with the veterinary institute of Hanover, in completing the edition of a training manual on agrarian policy of joint authorship of German and Ukrainian experts.
