Next steps in implementation of the DAAD project “Digital Modernization of Lecturing in Ukrainian Agricultural Universities”

   On November 9-13, 2021, teachers of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine together with colleagues from Mykolayiv National Agrarian University and Sumy National Agrarian University visited Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (Germany) under the DAAD project “Digital Modernization of Lecturing in Ukrainian Agricultural Universities”.

    NUBiP of Ukraine was represented by Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Plant Protection, Biotechnology and Ecology, Associate Professor of the Department of General Ecology, Radiobiology and Life Safety V.I. Bondar; Associate Professor of the Department of Statistics and Economic Analysis T.S. Kuts; Senior Lecturer of the Department of Technology of Meat, Fish and Seafood Products M.S. Nikolayenko; Associate Professor of the Department of Agrosphere Ecology and Environmental Control V.P. Strokal.

    The visit began with a meeting with the Vice-Rector of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ralf Schlauderer, who outlined current tasks of the project, features and procedure for their implementation. Later, under the guidance of Kateryna Tuzhyk, the participants created educational videos and discussed improving materials of educational courses in the context of distance education. One of the tasks was to analyze and highlight the key points of using information tools and technologies in online education during the Covid-19 pandemic.

   During the visit, representatives of Ukrainian universities also had a working meeting with the Vice-Rector of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Sabine Homann-Wenig. The topic was the development of standards for digital training courses.

     The DAAD project “Digital Modernization of Lecturing in Ukrainian Agricultural Universities” aims to boost the implementation of digital technologies and improve professional skills in using innovative educational methods at modern universities during on-line and off-line learning.
