International Rankings

THE World University Rankings provide a list of the world’s leading universities with a strong focus on research performance. They are the only global university rankings that assess research‑intensive institutions across all their core missions: teaching (the learning environment), research environment (volume, income and reputation), research quality (research excellence), industry (knowledge transfer) and international outlook (staff, students and research). They use 18 carefully selected performance indicators to ensure a more comprehensive and balanced comparison. The overall ranking is complemented by 11 subject‑specific rankings.

THE Impact Rankings, launched in 2019, are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition to the overall ranking, 17 separate tables are published to show universities’ progress on each individual SDG.

UI GreenMetric World University Ranking - is an annual ranking of green campuses and environmental sustainability, launched by Universitas Indonesia in 2010. It has become an important tool for assessing the environmental performance of universities worldwide, growing from 95 universities in 35 countries in 2010 to 1,147 universities from 95 countries in the 2024 edition.

The ranking is based on the belief that universities play a key role in collective stakeholder and community efforts to combat climate change. Universities are assessed on their efforts to reduce environmental impact and to implement innovative ideas in energy saving, water conservation, waste management and green transportation.

The ranking uses 39 indicators grouped into six key criteria:
