Ian L. Maw, Vice President of National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (USA) at the Department of Automation and Robotic Systems

 Being at National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine for Day of Knowledge celebration Dr. Ian L. Maw, Vice President of National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (USA), emeritus professor of Rutgers University visited the Department of Automation and Robotic Systems.
In his role as Vice President at NASULGC he has the responsibility of leadership for the activities of the Commission on Food, Environment, and Renewable Resources and its associated boards: Board on Agriculture Assembly, Board on Natural Resources, Board on Oceans and Atmosphere, Board on Human Sciences and the Board on Veterinary Medicine interfacing with both the NASULGC member institutions and the various federal agencies that fund the instructional, research, and extension activities. He also works with the Council on Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching.
Founded in 1887, the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges is a 215 member voluntary association of public research universities, land-grant institutions, and many state university systems. Its members enroll more than 3.55 million students, awards about a half-million degrees annually.
During the visit Dr. Ian L. Maw accompanied by his wife Mrs. Michelle Maw and Dr. Dmytro Melnychuk, Academician, Rector of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine saw scientific achievements of the Department and Basic Research Laboratory “Intelligent Control Systems in Agricultural Sector”, communicated with the best students of the Department who demonstrated their scientific projects concerning automation in biotechnical objects. At the end Dr. Ian L. Maw shared very pleasant impressions as regards the level of students attainment, level of research projects and wished further success as to scientific achievements and the Department development.
