Professor Sergiy Zibtsev took part in the Aerial Firefighting Europe 2021 Conference
The Aerial Firefighting Europe 2021 Conference took place on October 12-13, 2021 in Tallinn (Estonia). The conference was attended by 185 participants from Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Ukraine, France, Finland, USA, Sweden, South America and Asia, as well as representatives of the European Commission, including the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, heads of government agencies responsible for firefighting, firefighter pilots, ground fire chiefs, scientists and civil society representatives.
Professor Sergiy Zibtsev took part in a panel meeting of forest fire experts and informed the conference participants about the involvement of Ukrainian Firefighting Aircraft and Ground fire brigades in suppression of forest fires in Turkey and Greece, also about new types of fires in Ukraine in 2020.
The conference was devoted to the issues of prevention and suppression of the new types of fires in the European region and in the world, issues of interdepartmental and international coordination, tactics and strategies of aviation in fire suppression and mechanism of attracting assistance by aircraft in 2021 in Greece, Turkey, Spain and other countries.
