The International Conference in Wroclaw, Poland

National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine together with Wroclaw University of Life and Environmental Sciences and Warsaw University of Life Sciences organised the International Conference “Digital Education in the Universities of Natural Sciences” which was held on May 6-7, 2014 at Wroclaw University of Lifer and Environmental Sciences, Poland. NULES of Ukraine was represented by the delegation headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Economic Cybernetics, O.G. Glazunova. All members of the delegation of NULES of Ukraine made presentations:

·                   O.G. Glazunova - The structure of e-learning course in the context of Smart Education;

·                   O.G. Kuzminska - Flipped learning model: tools and experience of implementation in higher education;

·                   O.M. Tkachenko - Use of hybrid e-learning content in the study of programming;

·                   M.V. Mokriyev - Organization of educational activities students of environmental universities using LMS Moodle;

·                   N.A. Demeshkant - Organization of educational cooperation.

As a result, the universities made a decision on preparing joint projects aimed at creation of electronic multimedia educational materials for students of natural sciences universities.

On May 7, the Ukrainian-Polish workshop “Distance education: Experience and Prospects” took place. The participants discussed practical and theoretical issues of improving the educational process using information technologies as well as motivation for the use of these technologies both by students and teachers. Special attention was paid to conducting joint educational projects.

The team of Ukrainian students (V. Lynets, M. Gavlovych, Yu. Tsarenko, O. Golyachuk) together with their counterparts from Poland performed a joint project using advanced informational technologies. The result of the project is a browser-based quest game for improving knowledge on the history of the countries, their cultural relations and mastering the skills of teamwork. During the conference, the students presented the results of their project work and shared experience of teamwork using distance education technologies.
