NULES of Ukraine Celebrated the Day of Unification and Freedom of Ukraine

On January 22 Ukraine marked the 95th anniversary of adoption of the Directory Universal on the Union of Ukrainian People's Republic and Western Ukrainian People's Republic. This event is known as the Day of Unification of Ukraine and is officially celebrated since 1999.
The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine held the celebration of this remarkable Ukrainian holiday which was attended by the Head of Golosiyevo District State Administration in Kyiv, Yu.Yu. Kurinnyi, and his Deputy Head, V.A. Ivanchenko.
The Student Organization of NULES of Ukraine together with the Education and Research Centre for Cultural, Educational and Social Activities of the Department of Cultural Studies put in a great deal of effort to conduct the celebration on the highest possible level. The participants performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and then recited poems. The Academic Choir of the Department of Cultural Studies performed many patriotic songs about Ukraine which reminded of a long path to Ukrainian unity.
This holiday represents the eternal desire of our people for unity, integrity and indivisibility. The struggle of the Ukrainian people for unity of their land is one of the most important pages of our past that should never be forgotten.
