Victory Day!

 On May 7, 2013, a meeting-requiem dedicated to the 68th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War was held at the Memorial of NULES of Ukraine. Representatives of university administration, students and soldiers laid flowers to the monument of veterans of the Great Patriotic War.

Head of the University, Academician, D.O. Melnychuk congratulated the veterans on this great holiday. Memory of the fallen soldiers was honoured with a minute of silence and military salute. Pupils of Environmental and Natural Sciences Lyceum No.16 congratulated the veterans with beautiful songs and verses.

All present enjoyed the songs of the war years – Zhuravli, Ah eti tuchi v golubom, Peremoha.

Every year on May 9 majestic monuments and modest obelisks are covered with spring flowers, which means that people's memory is alive and the feat of fallen soldiers is not forgotten...
