Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine underwent an internship at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences

     From May 5 till May 20, 2019 master students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of NUBiP of Ukraine Yulia Surtayeva, Tetyana Orban, Kateryna Kuznetsova, Anastasiya Berezenko and Valentyn Paramonov underwent a two-week internship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. The internship was conducted as a part of the cooperation agreement between the universities.

     NUBiP students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (namely, the department of obstetrics and gynecology, the department of microbiology and virology, the department of histology, the department of anatomy, the department of therapy), to take part in the International Student Conference, as well as in the work of the veterinary clinic and the experimental enterprise of the faculty.

     The first week of the internship took place at the department of internal diseases of small animals. The students studied endoscopic examinations, colonoscopies, biopsies using an ultrasound, as well as other physiotherapeutic procedures.

     During the next week, the students studied at the department of farm animals reproduction. They gained some hands-on experience in horse reproduction, learned the methods of diagnosing the condition of reproductive system of productive animals and treatment of gynecological diseases, and became acquainted with the latest methods of osteosynthesis at the department of surgery.

     The internship was guided and supervised by university veterinarians and faculty. We hope for further cooperation between the faculties of veterinary medicine of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences!
