Official singing of Agreement on Cooperation between National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES of Ukraine) and College of Agricultural Sciences,The Pennsylvania State University, United States of America

Today, on April 19, 2012, 20 years after first Agreement on Cooperation signing (April 15, 1992) Rector of NULES of Ukraine Academician Dmytro O. Melnychuk put his signature to the Agreement on Cooperation aimed at further development of partnership between NULES of Ukraine and Penn State University for the next 5 years. At the same time today at 3 p.m. (local time) Dean of College of Agricultural Sciences, Prof. Bruce A. McPheron will sign this document on behalf of American party.

 

The National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (NULES of Ukraine) and The Pennsylvania State University (“Penn State”), through its College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS), have a long history of collaboration as articulated in the Agreements on Cooperation signed in 1992 and 2004. Recognizing the value of this cooperation and desiring to expand the collaboration, institutions wish to express through the Agreement on Cooperation (AOC), a commitment to further cooperation that might include:

 

- Exchange of qualified faculty, researchers and scientists of the respective institutions;

- Participation in seminars and academic meetings;

- Cultural exchange activities;

- Joint participation in international training courses, programs, projects, etc.;

- Consulting opportunities;

- Collaborative education, joint research activities and extension outreach that fit missions and capabilities of respective institutions;

- Other activities as deemed mutually appropriate.
