        On May 11-13, 2011 National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine together with Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations carried out the workshop “Market-oriented agricultural consulting services and Extention”, in which 25 representatives of ministries and departments of agricultural sector from ten countries of CIS, such as Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Tadzhikistan, Uzbekistan, Moldova took part.
       The purpose of this event was to increase awareness among managers of advisory services of public sector about global trends and changes in advisory services and among ministry leaders about agribusiness and marketing concerning the role of Extension services in assistance to agricultural development, particularly small farms.
