Yana Medushovska: ERASMUS+ - do not be afraid of changes and broaden your outlook
To become a student of NUBiP means not only to study at the university which is among the top three universities in Kyiv, but also to discover the whole world. Talented young people are offered many opportunities, including participation in various international programs. Yana Medushovska shares her impressions about one of them, that is Erasmus +. Yana is a Master student of Faculty of Agricultural Management.
Erasmus+ opened new horizons for me and I gained a lot of experience. My mobility program was at the University of Foggia (Italy). The university includes 6 faculties such as economic, law, clinical and experimental medicine, medical and surgical sciences, agricultural, food and environmental sciences and humanities (literature, science, cultural heritage and education). It offers 16 Bachelor programs and 15 Master programs as well as programs for postgraduate students and internship programs.
We were able to study the Italian language at the linguistic centre of the university, and on completing the course we got certificates. The study was interesting and informative. Of course, Italian education system is different from what we have here in Ukraine, and it was a positive moment as now we have something to compare our education with.
I learned how to adapt to new situations, saw a great country and got new acquaintances. Erasmus + helps dreams to some true, broadens our outlook. Since knowing people from other countries allows us to learn their culture and traditions. The main thing is not to be afraid of changes and new environment, to risk to escape from one’s usual comfort zone and you will succeed.
Hrystyna Prylypko, a student of Faculty of Food Technology and Quality Control of Agricultural Products, Olha Petryk and Yulia Sapsay, students of Faculty of Agricultural Management, participated in the program together with me.
Special thanks go to Vadym Tkachuk,vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, international activity and development, Anatolii Ostapchuk, our dean, and Giulio Esposito, coordinator of international activities of the University in Foggia for their great support.
