We deepen cooperation with Czech University of Life Sciences

     Visit of the Delegation of NULES of Ukraine to the Czech University of Life Sciences to find common ways of cooperation has successfully completed. Representatives of four Departments: Plant Protection, Ecology and Biotechnology Tetyana Stefanovska and Oleksandr Subin, Agricultural Management Olena Kovtun, Economics Oksana Ryabchenko and the Research and Development Institute of Forestry and Landscape Architecture Victor Myronyuk held a series of meetings with Czech colleagues.

     Negotiations resulted in a number of agreements. In particular, on starting student and academic mobility within the program Erasmus+ by the conclusion of a general university Erasmus agreement starting in January 2017, joint activity towards harmonization of curricula with the aim of training by double diploma programs. Also - the organization and holding joint summer schools on the subject “Doing business in Ukraine”, joint research under the European, regional and national grant programs including Horizon 2020. The attention is focused on joint research, articles, web conferences, seminars, web lectures, distance learning, etc. Formation and submission of applications for participation in joint research projects on topics: organic production, including the production of forest biomass and development of energy on biological basis, incorporation of new technologies in the field of forestry, agriculture, land recultivation, biological control of agrocenoses, biochemistry and biotechnology in crop breeding and soil fertility and bioeconomy.

     In addition to specialized areas of cooperation, during the meeting with the Pro-Rector of Czech University of Life Sciences Professor Michael Loshtak and Director of International Office Jaromyr Nemets, the strategic support of planned activities for cooperation between universities was agreed.

     As part of an informal part of the meeting, the delegation met with former postgraduates of NULES and Czech University of Life Sciences, that live and work in Czech Republic. During the discussion of issues related to the opportunities and challenges in studying by double diploma, our former students noted that the knowledge they acquired in our university were reliable and sufficient basis for further studies in Europe.

     Ukrainian delegation expressed extreme and sincere gratitude to Czech colleagues for the highly professional and efficient organization of the visit.
