Agreement on cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine is signed
On June 15, 2016, as part of the expansion of cooperation of National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine with higher educational institutions, a meeting was held between Rector Stanislav Nikolaenko and Rector of Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vyacheslav Tsivatyi.
Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was established in 1995 to train qualified personnel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other state bodies dealing with external affairs.
At the present stage of development of higher educational institution, implementing its main tasks is assigned to four graduating chairs (Diplomatic and Consular Service, Foreign Policy and Diplomacy, International Economics and Economic Diplomacy, Regional Systems and European Integration, and Foreign Languages).
Despite the relatively short history compared to our university, for the period of its existence Diplomatic Academy has gained considerable experience in training specialists for diplomatic and consular service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and other state bodies of Ukraine dealing with national foreign policy.
Students and trainees of the Academy receive thorough general theoretical and practical training on theory, history and practice of diplomacy, theory and pressing issues of international relations and foreign policy, European issues, geopolitical issues of development of countries in major regions of the world; fluent in at least two foreign languages, familiar with modern information technologies.
During the meeting, held in narrow format with the participation of Head of the Chair of History and Political Science of the Department of Humanities and Pedagogics Serhiy Bilan, Associate Professor of the Chair of History and Political Science Kyryl Klymenko and assistant rector of Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Alla Furs, the agreement on cooperation between higher education institutions was signed. The sides discussed possibilities of cooperation in the context of promoting the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and NULES of Ukraine in training competitive specialists in international affairs in agriculture (diplomatic advisers in agriculture and “agricultural attaché”), and also shared their experience of research efforts in the international relations, foreign policy and international legal issues.
