Task of the European University is to provide high quality education

     On October 12-13, at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, a topical workshop, organized by the Association of University Rectors of Ukraine and the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute (ACQUIN), was held. Our university also took part in the event.

     The seminar content was based on thematic blocks: “European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European higher education space (E8S)”, ”The internationalization of education programs: The value of Bologna-compliant modules and educational programs”, “Program Accreditation”, “International cooperation in training and education”.

          Speakers, including a Head of the Department on Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia of Conference of rectors of higher educational institutions of Germany - Rudolf Smolyarchyk, CEO of ACQUIN - Thomas Rail, Professor of the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences - Christian Brauweiler and coordinator of the ACQUIN international accreditation program - Nina Soroka, stressed that the primary responsibility for the quality of education in Europe is put on IHE. The university itself sets its own strategy on quality assurance, accreditation of educational programs, support of the professional development of instructors, student mobility, development of material resources and information management.
     Participants of the workshop also emphasized the necessity to improve the quality of education that enables international cooperation between universities in different countries, the growth of student mobility and simplifies mutual recognition of diplomas.
