A lecture by Volodymyr NAZARENKO "Design Thinking and Gamification in the Scientific and Educational Environment" was held as part of an online webinar of the Union of Young Scientists and the Faculty of Information Technologies.
On May 7, on the occasion of the Day of Science in Ukraine and as part of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Faculty of Information Technologies, the Union of Young Scientists of NUBiP of Ukraine together with the Faculty of Information Technologies held the first meeting of the permanent online webinar "Scientific Environment 3.0: Tools, Approaches, Interaction".
Such an event is aimed at an audience that includes young university scientists, applicants for Doctor of Philosophy, Master's, and Bachelor's of all faculties, and SRI NUBiP of Ukraine. The monthly scientific webinar was launched and began its implementation in pursuance of the rector's order dated 02.05.2025 No. 544 "On the preparation and conduct of monthly webinars of the Union of Young Scientists of the NUBiP of Ukraine". The webinar meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the head of the union of young scientists, Natalia GRYSHCHENKO.
The first online lecture within the framework of the webinar of the Union of Young Scientists was held on the topic "Design thinking and gamification in scientific and educational environments" was conducted by Volodymyr NAZARENKO, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Information Technologies, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Systems, Networks and Cybersecurity. During the lecture, the topics were the basics of design thinking, game mechanics, and gamification processes for the young scientists' educational process and scientific research. Design thinking is a very popular topic today because it is universal for use in various fields of engineering, technology, and the creation of educational and scientific services.
Several such lectures are aimed at expanding the practical competencies of young scientists of the University, popularizing modern scientific and applied information, improving the quality of scientific and educational environments, improving communication and exchange of experience between young scientists of the University, as well as involving masters and bachelors in scientific activities within the framework of the "Festival of Student Science at NUBiP of Ukraine".
The online webinar was joined by the chairmen of the councils of young scientists of all faculties, the RI of our university, and young scientists and graduate students. The event aroused keen interest among those present, the lecturer answered all questions, and the event ended with a discussion on the proposed topic.
We hope that the successful start of the permanent webinar "Scientific Environment 3.0: Tools, Approaches, Interaction" will continue and arouse interest among young scientists of the Faculty of Information Technology!
