Delegation of our University took part in celebrating the anniversary of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy
Within the cooperation agreement between our University and the Belarusian State Academy of Agriculture, signed last summer, in late September the NULES delegation headed by Vice-rector for educational and scientific work, legal and social issues – Volodymyr Kurylo, took part in celebration of the 175th anniversary of this University. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the ex-USSR and countries of Eastern Europe.
Members of our delegation took part in the meeting of rectors of agricultural Universities of the CIS countries and shared experience on scientific-pedagogical activities regarding the training of agrarians. They also got acquainted with Belarusian University training base. And there is much to look at here.
Head of the Chair of Hydrobiology and Ichthyology Petro Shevchenko was particularly impressed with one of the Europe's largest fishery complex of industrial cultivation of trout and sturgeon. Here, production and training cycles are combined under one roof: chair of ichthyology and fish breeding and close cycle installments with basin and tray farm. This makes it possible to provide planting material for fisheries not only in Belarus, but also in neighboring Russia.
Head of the Chair of Animal Biology, academician Mykola Sakhatskyi, as an animal farmer, got interested in a school-farm of cattle breeding. The former graduate of the department of zoo engineering of this Academy has a lot of connections here. For a long time our Universities have been exchanging their courseware. The delegation really liked very much the program on training specialists, equipping the chair with the latest devices.
But the most striking was attitude of Belarusians, who sincerely worry for Ukraine and are ready to help -at least to take our students for practical training.
The delegation received proposals for cooperation in scientific and educational spheres from the representatives of agricultural Universities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
