The international internship was conducted in an in-person format at the FATER Academy of India and focused on the topic: "Corporate Finance, Financial Security, and Digital Technologies in International Economics: Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Development."
The internship program is deeply embedded in the context of contemporary international economics, where digitalization, financial security, and innovative management models play a pivotal role in shaping the global competitiveness of countries and academic institutions.
The experience gained is directly aligned with the Department's ongoing research in the field of SMART university governance under extraordinary challenges, including energy instability, military risks, and economic turbulence. It also supports the implementation of SMART tools aimed at effective institutional management in the context of digital transformation.
As part of the internship, an in-depth analysis was conducted of modern digital financial solutions applied in higher education systems; tools for financial planning and risk management within the global digital environment; and approaches to ensuring the financial and economic resilience of universities through the implementation of SMART management tools, process automation, monitoring dashboards, and energy-efficient digital solutions.
Natalia Vdovenko also presented the Department’s developments related to the integration of micro-credentialing initiatives, including the course “Aquafarming Navigator”, as an example of a digital educational product with both economic and social value. This course is positioned as a relevant SMART instrument for the recovery of agricultural universities in the post-crisis context and for enhancing the active reintegration of veterans into socio-economic life.
Participation in the program played a significant role in strengthening international academic cooperation and enhancing global academic mobility. Moreover, it provided strategic directions for integrating the SMART university concept into the development of the Department of Global Economics at the Faculty of Economics, NUBiP of Ukraine. The acquired knowledge and practical case studies will be utilized in the design of new academic courses, the improvement of crisis management systems at both the university and departmental levels, and the further development of a robust digital educational ecosystem.
The Department team sincerely congratulates Nataliia VDOVENKO on the successful completion of her internship and her substantial contribution to the development of a digital, sustainable, and internationalized university environment, as well as for highlighting the Department’s role as a foundational pillar of the institution.
