"A young specialist becomes a good teacher, first of all,
thanks to the atmosphere of creative work of the teaching staff...”
V. O. Sukhomlynsky

It's been a long time since we met face-to-face with our teaching staff, we missed each other and for live communication. And now, finally, this opportunity has appeared. Having started the academic year, we found an opportunity to return to the issue of improving the pedagogical skills of our young teachers. After all, we have no right to stop, the time is difficult, we need to work with young people, be a support for students.

Therefore, on September 13, 2023, at the initiative of the rector Stanislav Nikolaenko teachers of the University, whose experience of scientific and pedagogical work does not exceed three years, turned into students for several hours: they sat down at their desks and in the framework of "School of pedagogical excellence" which has been operating for several years, and were mastering the basics of pedagogical skills.

Welcoming school students, rector of NULES of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, doctor of pedagogical sciences, Professor of the department of pedagogy Stanislav Nikolaenko presented the program of the event and drew attention to its relevance and timeliness for young teachers, because most of them do not have a teacher's education.

Ректор також зазначив, що інші університети не готують викладачів до педагог

The rector also noted that other universities do not train teachers for teaching activities. Our younger generation of teachers has the opportunity to acquire knowledge on teaching methods and improve their pedagogical skills.

Stanislav Mykolayovych called on the participants of the seminar to actively use the opportunity to influence his topics. We remind you that the page of the department of pedagogy constantly maintains a category of School of pedagogical skills, where you can find all the materials covered during the seminars https://nubip.edu.ua/node/6180/18 Therefore, we are waiting for suggestions on the topics of future seminars.

Stanislav Mykolayovych introduced scientific and pedagogical staff to the strategic directions of the University's education development under martial law, mobilized his team to improve the quality of educational, scientific and innovative activities under martial law, provided information on the essence and features of the university's functioning in new political, socio-economic and cultural realities, revealed innovative ways to deploy various types of activities at the University in order to increase its rating, both in the national and international dimension.

A very interesting report on the urgent needs of higher education, in particular agricultural, the problems of Ukrainian teachers in general and NULES in particular, was made by the rector of the university Stanislav Nikolaenko. He spoke about the formation of the salary fund in the current extremely difficult conditions, when the dominant share of funds from the budget goes to the needs of the front, the list of new specialties and unjustified changes in it proposed by the Ministry of education and science, the withdrawal of university lands and the insane pressure in this matter on the university authorities, defenders of Ukraine from among our students and teachers, and the volunteering of the team (more than 35 million hryvnias have already been transferred to the needs of the armed forces of Ukraine).
It was also about achievements and prospects of NULES, international and national rankings, where it ranks first among Ukrainian universities. And also about the threats and challenges that face humanity, and therefore each of us: from serious climate change to the danger of starting a third World War.
Stanislav Nikolaenko spoke about the peculiarities of training under martial law, and gave specific requirements for scientific and pedagogical workers, which are set by time-characteristics of excellence in teaching. In particular, the teacher should be a reflex practitioner, constantly engage in scientific activities in their field, discipline, maintain effective ties with business, and so on.

It was under this title that the next report was made. In it, the author justified the importance of certain types of activities in an educational institution for preserving the mental well-being of an individual during the war and post-war state in the country.

Iryna Anatoliivna introduced students to the results of an empirical study of the mental states of students under martial law, highlighted the relationship between the indicators of adaptability of students and dominant activities, and also suggested ways to support the mental health of students during the war and post-war conditions in the conditions of higher education institutions.

As always, the seminar became a kind of platform for interaction, because the audience addressed a lot of questions to the speakers, which even went beyond the topic of the seminar, but worried more than one young teacher. Of course, none of them went unnoticed and answered.

In conclusion, on behalf of the seminar participants, I would like to thank all our speakers for up-to-date information, and the members of the working group on the preparation and conduct of the scientific and methodological seminar for their organizational work.
