The practice's motto is that balanced nutrition promotes healthy plant growth

July 20, 2023

Under this motto, on July, the 2nd year full-time students majoring in Agronomy and Horticulture and Viticulture began their practice in Agrochemistry under the guidance of Associate Professors Olena Litvinova and Larysa Semenko. The internship was conducted at the Agronomic Research Station and the Fruit and Vegetable Garden training laboratory. During the internship, students learned about plant diagnostics. It combined visual, leaf and tissue diagnostics.

Students at the Dushechkin Department of Agrochemistry and Quality of Crop Production identified nutrient deficiencies in various plants, which led to a loss of resistance to various diseases. Rapid diagnostics and analysis of crops were carried out, and current problems and measures affecting the healthy growth of agricultural plants and fruit trees were identified.

During the internship, students learned to determine the lack of macro- and microelements in agricultural plants in the field and fruit trees. All students received high marks for their work.
