Academic council of humanitarians: the quality of the educational process under conditions of distance learning
On November 18, 2021, a meeting of the Academic council of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy took place. The chairman of the Academic council Inna Savytska started work on the agenda, which presented the following issues: the quality of the educational process at the faculty of humanities and pedagogy under conditions of distance learning; on the decision of the Academic council of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine of October 27, 2021 "On the participation of scientific and pedagogical staff of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy in conducting research"; on conducting career guidance work at the department of management and educational technologies; approval of statistical and scientific reports of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy according to the results of 2021; on consideration of scientific and educational-methodical publications, etc.
Dean of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy, associate professor Inna Savytska noted that the quality of the educational process is, on the one hand, a requirement established by law and/or agreement on the provision of educational services, and on the other - a guarantee for students to receive quality education. to effectively form competencies and professional consciousness, and for graduate students to receive full training for research and teaching activities in higher education institutions in the specialty. Inna Nikolaevna emphasized that work in a remote format for several semesters formed both teachers and students of confident users of platforms for video conferencing.
Inna Mykolaivna presented the results of the survey, 986 students and graduate students took part. The main purpose of the survey was to study the satisfaction of applicants with the content, forms and methods of implementation of educational programs, information, organizational and psychological conditions of its implementation. She noted that more than 80 respondents are satisfied with the organization of distance learning, praised the willingness of teachers of our faculty to conduct distance learning 90% of respondents. The dean of the faculty once again emphasized the strict implementation of the rector's order № 1183 dated 01.11.2021 "On improving the quality of distance learning", as well as compliance with the business etiquette of online communication during distance learning.
In discussing the quality of the educational process for applicants for higher education of the first (bachelor's), second (master's) and third (educational-scientific) levels, the head of the department of pedagogy professor Ruslan Sopivnyk shared with members of the Academic council the experience of the department on possible and effective ways to motivate students. to study.
Dean of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy, associate professor Inna Savytska presented to the members of the Academic council of the faculty the decision of the Academic council of NULES of Ukraine of October 27, 2021 "On participation of scientific and pedagogical workers In its decision, the Academic council of the University" noted that the faculty is developing dynamically, implementing the strategic goals and objectives set by the Law of Ukraine "On higher education", enshrined in the University Charter and development program "Holosiiv initiative - 2025". At the same time, the Academic council of the University draws attention to the fact that along with the positive changes and achievements, there are problems related to the insufficient level of income to the special scientific fund; expansion of scientific subjects of departments of faculty by preparation of qualitative projects of research works on actual subjects and reception of financing through participation in grant programs. As a result of the discussion, a plan for implementing the decision of the Academic council of the University was approved
Head of the department of management and educational technologies Serhiy Kubitsky presented the main results of career guidance work of the department in the first semester of 2021-2022 academic year. Dean of the faculty Inna Savytska, deputy dean of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy associate professor Ihor Butsyk and head of the department of social work and rehabilitation professor Iryna Sopivnyk provided proposals on enrollment of students for Master’s degree.
Deputy dean of the faculty, professor Svitlana Kharchenko presented statistical and scientific reports of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy in general and scientific and pedagogical staff in particular in 2021 and focused the attention of heads of departments on the reliability and accuracy of information included in scientific and statistical report; increasing the quantitative indicators of scientific publications of NPP in rating journals; intensification of work on publishing textbooks and manuals
Members of the Academic council also considered other important issues of the life of the faculty of humanities and pedagogy.
