MONTHLY OPERATIONAL MEETING OF PROJECT COORDINATORS Project No. 101238988-EU_NITRA_UKR

“Nitrate Pollution Prevention for Health Environment: European Experience of the Nitrates Directive Implementation for a Ukrainian Circular Economy.”

  • Participants: Project team members : Larysa VOITENKO, Tetiana USHCHAPIVSKA, Olha KRAVCHENKO, Nadiia PROKOPCHUK

AGENDA:

  1. State registration of the project: identifying challenges and solutions.

  2. Status of the project educational curriculum implementation.

  3. Preparation of financial reports and labor payment issues.

  4. Planning for summer educational internships.

  5. Results of cooperation with NGO Ecoaction and the Office of the Ombudsman.

Key Discussion Points:

  • State Registration: Administrative Manager Nadiia PROKOPCHUK reported that all required forms were submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of Ukraine. However, the MES denied the request to petition the Cabinet of Ministers for registration, claiming the project falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministries of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture. A new appeal letter has been prepared for the alternative ministry, despite the project's strictly educational and non-commercial nature. It was noted that the MES lacks communication with other ministries regarding this matter.

  • Educational Component: Larysa VOITENKO, Olha KRAVCHENKO, Nadiia PROKOPCHUK, and Tetiana USHCHAPIVSKA reported on the current progress of the project's educational curriculum.

  • Finance: Tetiana USHCHAPIVSKA provided updates on the processing of financial requests and compensation for project executors.

  • Summer Intensive B-learning: The team discussed organizational matters regarding the upcoming summer intensive internship.

  • Collaboration and Dissemination: Project Coordinator Larysa VOITENKO reported on joint activities with NGO Ecoaction and the Office of the Ombudsman for project dissemination. She also presented results regarding publication activity and participation in scientific conferences of related projects.

CONCLUSION:

The project is progressing according to the work plan. Responsible persons and deadlines have been assigned for all action items.

Next Meeting: Scheduled for early May 2026.
