Ukrainian as a Foreign Language Courses


Ukrainian as a Foreign Language Courses (using electronic educational resources) are intended for foreign citizens and stateless persons who wish to study the Ukrainian language in a distance (online) format.


Knowledge of the Ukrainian language is required for international applicants who choose educational programmes taught in Ukrainian.


The course is aimed at:

  • learning Ukrainian from the beginner level (no prior knowledge required);

  • developing skills in reading, writing, listening comprehension and speaking;

  • acquiring basic vocabulary and grammar;

  • gradual preparation for studying in Ukrainian;

  • developing communication skills in Ukrainian;

  • adaptation to the language environment and life in Ukraine.


During the course, modern electronic educational resources, interactive materials, and online platforms are used.

Mode of study: distance (online).

Start of studies: after the formation of an group.


After successful completion of the course, participants receive a university certificate confirming the acquisition of practical and theoretical language skills and the level of language proficiency.

Tuition Payment

The tuition fee is set in US dollars (USD).
Payment is made in Ukrainian hryvnias (UAH) in an amount equivalent to the tuition fee at the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Ukraine effective on the payment date.
