International activity and Partners
Scientists of the Institute inventively cooperate with Ukrainian food production and processing research institutes, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the UAAS, maintain close ties with related educational facilities of Ukraine, EU and CIS countries. They keep up business and scientific relations with Ukrainian food industry enterprises, namely: OJSC Rusanivskyi myasokombinat (meat-processing factory),CJSC Prolyv (the city of Kerch), CJSC Halakton, Ruby Rose Agricole Co. LLC, Alltech-Ukraine State-owned enterprise, Pfizer (USA).
Ukrainian Education and Research Institute of Bioresources Quality and Life Safety takes part in multiple international projects and has showed itself as a professional and reliable partner. Among the most important projects it is necessary to mention the following:
- FAO’s Technical Cooperation Programme (UNO), TCP/UKR/3003 (А) project „Strengthening the Ukrainian Laboratory for the Quality and Safety of Food and Agricultural Products” (2004-2007 рр);
- Japan-Funded Technical Assistance Project within the framework of international agreement with JACA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), targeted at the development of the Laboratory for Quality and Safety of Agricultural Products under Tokyo University of Agriculture (2006-2008);
- Project Р-169a with the United States Environment Protection Аgency “Pesticide residue management and unusable pesticide neutralization in Cherkasy and Lviv regions” (2004-2007);
- InJoy & Train, special support project in the field of «Food, Agriculture and Biotechnology» within 7-th Framework Programme (FP7) of European Research (2006-2008);
- FP7 project funded under the auspices of EU «BIOCIRCLE –cooperation, extension of BIONCP network through national contact points of third countries». (2008-2010).
Institute’s Fellows are the members of international organizations and coordinators of international projects:

Melnychuk, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, EUROSCIENCE member; coordinator of BIOCIRCLE project in Ukraine within the FP7 (central office in Brussel, Belgium); the head of BIONCP (national contact point); IPRS-IOBC (headquarters - Moscow, Russia – New York, USA); coordinator of Section for entomophages and bioprotection;
