   The Enterprise Europe Network partnering event organized by Innovhub SSI and Trentino Sviluppo, in the frame of IFIB, the International Forum on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioeconomy took place in Trento, Italy on 30 September – 1 October 2021. Participants came from Europe and beyond to find potential partners for collaborations, business development, licensing agreements, joint ventures, research projects, exchange of experiences and partnership opportunities. Staff of the scientific and educational laboratory of Bioeconomy, agricultural faculty of NULES, joined the event online. They are Professor Mykola Talavyrya, Associate professors Vira Butenko, Olena Koval, Inna Gushcha, Yurii Vlasenko, Natalia Bolgarova, Oksana Pashchenko.
   The opening of the first day was done by Mario Bonaccorso, Assobiotec-Federchimica / National Cluster of Green Chemistry SPRING. Wellcome messages were from Achille Spinelli - Councilor for Economic Development, Province of Trento and Vannia Gava - Undersecretary for Ecological Transition, Italian Government. Poster session took place online: Bio-based industries with Giovanni Sannia (University of Naples Federico II) as a moderator. Round tables “How to finance the circular bioeconomy?” with Maurizio Bettiga (LGCA), Josko Bobanovic (Sofinnova, France), Ludwig Goris (Capricorn Venture, Belgium), Stephane Roussel (European Circular Bioeconomy Fund), Niklas von Weymarn (Metsa Spring, Finland, online), Manfred Kircher (Kadib) and “Scale-up the bioeconomy” with Chris Patermann, Peter Flippo (BPF), Hendrik Waegemann (BBEPP), Ludo Diels (Vito Belgium), Patrizia Circelli (CiaoTech) online, Philippe Mengal (BBI JU).
   The next day was focused on AGROFOOD & NEW BIOMATERIALS with moderator Fabio Fava (University of Bologna). The specific interest was paid to pre-arranged face-to-face bilateral meetings (B2B) between Startups, Companies, Universities, public and private Research Centres in the field of industrial biotechnology and bioeconomy. Round table “How to connect value chains in the circular bioeconomy” was organized with George Sakellaris (BioEast Bioeconomy Hub) online, Jukka Kantola (World Bioeconomy Forum) online, Luca Lovatti (Melinda), Luca Fiori (University of Trento), Francesco Gasperi (Habitech) and Luca Mion (HIT) as a moderator.
