Holosiivska Vesna Festival at the Height

On 19-22 March 2012, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine warmly welcomed the traditional XXXII International amateur arts festival “Holosiivska Vesna -2012”. The contestants represented all Education and Research Institutes of NUBiP. The Festival program involved folk, academic and variety performers. Students, faculty and university staff who took part in the concerts showed their musical talent and skills, stage culture and high artistic repertoire.
Festival performances were assessed by the qualified and unbiased jury headed by People’s Artist of Ukraine, T.Shevchenko State Prize-winner, lead singer of “Yavir” band, Les Kharchenko.
Among the members of the jury were:
Lidia Vernigor, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Head of the Humanitarian, Cultural and Economic Centre for cooperation between Ukraine and Baltic states;
Roman Rudyi, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Assistant Professor of the Department of Cultural Studies of NUBiP;
Galina Stepanenko, Head of department at Kyiv Centre of Folk Arts and Cultural Studies;
Olena Mankivska, National and International Prize-winner in modern choreography, Head of “Ovatsia” Contemporary Dance Group at Kyiv Art school No.2,
Polina Baranichenko, Assistant of Theatrical Arts department at Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
The winners will take part in the festival’s gala-concert on 29 March.
