The department originates from the department on scientific and technical progress of Republican higher school of management of AIC, created in 1985. Babiyenko M.F. was its first head. After several reorganizations in January 2005 the Department of innovation in AIC was established.
Educational work
Educational work is aimed at providing of training of specialists of AIC on the issues of innovation activity in accordance with professional programs, programs of thematic and short seminars, retraining of scientific-pedagogical and teaching staff on the issues of innovation orientation and pedagogical work etc.
Methodological work consists in yearly update of educational and methodical complexes of such disciplines as “Innovation activity in AIC”, “Economy and organization of innovation activity in AIC”, preparation and publication of teaching aids and textbooks, methodical aids, information material on urgent issues of innovation activity in AIC, formation of electronic database of educational and methodical complexes for Bachelors and Masters.
Research Work
Scientific-pedagogical and teaching staff of the department carries out scientific researches on such issues as:
·improvement of economic-organizing mechanism of innovation activity, priority directions of innovation-technological development of agrarian sector;
·methodological and innovation principles of retraining of specialists with provision of second higher education;
·formation of information database of innovation activity in agrarian sector;
·development of state innovation support with due account taken of the regulations of World trade organization;
·innovation technologies in education and science.
They also participate in preparation, organization and conduction of seminars, conferences, taking into account statute and tasks of the department.
Areas of Work
· carrying out theoretical and conceptual researches of innovation processes;
· cooperation with appropriate services of ministries, departments, scientific and educational institutions;
· analyzing and generalization of innovations, and improvement of training of specialists, Bachelors, Masters and retraining of specialists for gaining of second higher education on their basis.
Cooperation
Department of innovation activity in AIC together with their colleagues from European universities organizes mutual international seminars and trainings on the issues of development of agrarian production and training of modern specialists for agricultural sector. The closest collaboration is established with Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and Kraków University of Agriculture.
