Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2014). Academician of the Forestry Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2016). Laureate of the State Prize of the President of Ukraine for young scientists (2014) and Fellow of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scholarship for young scientists (2016).

Author and co-author of over 200 scientific, training and methodological publications, including 7 scientific brochures, 10 monographs, 2 regulatory industrial reference books and 14 patents and copyright certificates. Under his supervision 1 Candidate of Sciences dissertation is defended, 2 post-graduate students and 1 doctoral student are being trained.

Roman was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the State Forestry Committee of Ukraine (2008), engraved watch from the Head of the State Forestry Committee of Ukraine (2010), Certificate of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2015). Provides teaching of the following academic disciplines: Forestry and landscape-park management economics, Forest bioenergy.
