Memorandum on Cooperation Was Signed between the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the University of Iowa (USA)

     On November 11, 2014 the Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine and the University of Iowa (USA).

     The document provides long- and short-term exchange programs for the employees of both universities, joint research, cooperation, training courses, meetings with professors, implementation of programs related to research, social welfare programs, exchange of literature and technology. Universities agreed to annually provide possibilities for training of 25 foreign bachelor or master students.

     The Memorandum was signed by the Head of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Stanislav Nikolayenko and the Head of the University of Iowa, Provost, Senior Vice President, Jonathan Vikkert.

     The delegation of NULES of Ukraine consisting of the Head of the University, Stanislav Nikolayenko, Vice Rector for Educational Activities, Sergiy Kvasha, Head of the ERI of Livestock Raising and Aquatic Bioresources, Vadym Kondratyuk, and Head of International Programs of the same ERI, Inna Kurbatova met with the Vice Rector of the University of Iowa, Vice Provost David Holker. During the meeting they discussed a number of major strategic issues of cooperation and ways of practical implementation of the agreements.

     A supplementary agreement on cooperation in the exchange of students and teaching staff was signed between the ERI of Livestock Raising and Aquatic Bioresources of NULES of Ukraine and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the University of Iowa. It was signed by Vadym Kondratyuk and Dean Wendy Winterstin.
 

     The prospects for the accreditation of NULES of Ukraine in the United States were also considered.
