Distance learning doesn’t hinder practical skills: students participate in the fallpond harvest
The remote learning format is no reason to pause professional development. Students in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Bioresources prove every day that even during remote learning, it is possible to effectively combine high-quality theoretical training with real-world practical skills at fish farms.
A striking example of this is fourth-year student Nazar Striletskyi, who actively assists at the family-run “Korop” fish farm. With the end of the fish-rearing growing season and the establishment of favorable temperature conditions at the farm, a critical period began - the fall harvest of the ponds.
Nazar took a direct and active part in the harvesting process. Specifically, the work took place in a fattening pond, where market-ready carp were harvested. During the harvest, the student was able to apply the knowledge he gained during his studies in practice and gain valuable experience in organizing fish farming processes, assessing the quality of market-ready fish, and conducting inventory work.
We are proud of our students who consciously engage in practical activities, develop the family business, and gain professional experience! We wish Nazar continued success in his studies and new achievements in the field of aquaculture!
