The educational institution was established according to the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Ukrainian SSR No. 483 dated July 21, 1956, as Irpin Agricultural Accounting Technical School.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine No. 103 dated September 29, 1992, Irpin Agricultural Accounting Technical School was renamed Irpin Economic Technical School.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 526 dated May 29, 1997, "On Improving the Network of Higher and Vocational-Technical Educational Institutions" and the Order of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine No. 190 dated June 17, 1997, "On Improving the Network of Higher Agricultural Educational Institutions," Irpin Economic Technical School was transferred to the management of the National Agricultural University.

By the decision of the State Accreditation Commission dated December 8, 1998, the institution was granted the status of a college.

According to the decision of the Academic Council of the National Agricultural University dated December 30, 2004, and the Order of the National Agricultural University No. 21 dated January 20, 2005, Irpin Economic College was reorganized into a separate structural unit of the National Agricultural University "Irpin Economic College."

According to the Order of the Rector of NUBiP of Ukraine No. 759 dated November 21, 2008, "On Measures to Implement the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 945 dated October 30, 2008," the institution was renamed to the Separate Structural Unit of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine "Irpin Economic College."

According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 708 dated May 28, 2020, "On Renaming the Separate Structural Units of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine," the institution was renamed to the Separate Structural Unit "Irpin Professional College of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine."

Training is conducted based on state orders and under agreements with individuals and legal entities.

The college is integrated into the educational system of the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine and is developing international relations.

The college closely collaborates with the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine. This cooperation includes:

• Implementing a tiered training system for specialists according to the scheme "Junior Specialist" (OPS "Professional Junior Bachelor") - "Bachelor";

• Providing training for scientific and pedagogical staff with a scientific degree through postgraduate studies;

• Involving leading scientists from NUBiP of Ukraine, including associate professors and professors, in the college's educational process;

• Providing methodological and consultative assistance from scientific and pedagogical staff of NUBiP of Ukraine;

• Participation of university representatives in scientific, practical, and student conferences held at the college.
