International activity

       Department uses the experimental base of Bila Tserkva ichthyological station and aquarium complex of the Institute of Hydrobiology of NAS of Ukraine for student’s academic and industrial practices, gathering the materials for implementation projects and dissertations on the basis of the Agreement for creative cooperation between NULES of Ukraine and the IHB NAS of Ukraine.

There is a herd of white and black carp producers, silver carp in Bila Tserkva ichthyological station. There is the studying of artificial carp reproduction and fishes of far-east complex, are development new technologies for usage in fishery antistress preparations and biologically active substances in order to increase the immunity of fish and fish productivity of reservoirs.

In order to provide more comprehensive education of students and training of highly qualified specialists, the Department is expanding cooperation with other higher education institutions abroad. In May 2004 is concluded of Agreement on cooperation between the NULES of Ukraine and the Astrakhan State Technical University, Russia (ASTU). The agreement foreseen:

- the exchange of students for practical and technological practices to the best of fish enterprises of both countries;

- the exchange of students for training in various areas of master's programs;

- the teachers’ participation in special courses for both universities;

- the participation of teachers, graduate students, students in scientific conferences, competitions, contests, joint publication of manuals and textbooks (S.V. Ponomarev, Y.Y. Lagutkina, I.Y. Kireeva. Small Fish Farming. - M.: Selhozizdat, 2007).

        In addition, the signed trilateral the cooperation Agreement between NULES of Ukraine, ASTU and Southern Scientific Center of Russian Academy of Sciences (SSC RAS, Rostov-na-Donu, Russia), are provided. Coordinator of cooperation between NULES – ASTU-SSC-RAS assoc. I.Y. Kireeva. In February 2014 in the framework of the this Agreement between NULES and SSC RAS the delegation of NULES – Dean of the Faculty of Livestock Raising and Water Bioresources assoc. V.M. Kondratyuk, assoc. P.G. Shevchenko, assoc. I.Y. Kireeva visited SSC RAS, on which was conducted the international scientific conference "Rational use and conservation of aquatic biological resources" (Rostov-on-don, Russia), where Assoc. of the Department of hydrobiology I.Y. Kireeva had report.Signed a Framework Agreement on cooperation between NULES and the Don State Technical University is signed.
