The Department of Veterinary Reproductology (formerly Obstetrics, Gynecology and Biotechnology of Animal Reproduction) was established at the Kyiv Veterinary and Zootechnical Institute (now NULES of Ukraine) in 1928 and its first head was Kostyantyn Ivanovich Turkevich. Today, the department is a powerful scientific and pedagogical staff, modern educational and scientific laboratories in which students of 3 specialties study 5 mandatory and 11 elective disciplines according to the latest programs, and teachers conduct unique scientific research.
