The first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline "Soil Science with the Basics of Geology" was held

March 25, 2026 at the Department of Soil Science and Soil Protection named after prof. M.K. The first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline "Soil Science with the Basics of Geology" took place.

The Olympiad was attended by first- and second-year students of the OS "Bachelor" specialty H1 "Agronomy" of the Faculty of Agrobiological Sciences (31 people in total).

The goal of the Olympiad was search for gifted student youth, stimulating their creative work and activation of research work. Participants had to answer the test questions of the theoretical plan. For students, this has become an interesting competition in the creative application of acquired knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as to determine their own professional level in obtaining a future specialty.

The organizers of the event, the head of the department Rostyslav BOHDANOVYCH and assistant Olga SUBBOTINA note , that such events allow students to once again test themselves, evaluate their own knowledge. This will encourage the best students to improve soil science training and orient them to further study in the master's and graduate school.
